Lumineers FAQs

Lumineers FAQ Naples Dentist

Have you been reluctant to smile due to irregularly spaced teeth? Our Naples dentist can improve your smile in as little as two visits with Lumineers®.

At The Modern Dentist, we take pride in empowering patients to take care of their oral health and increase their self-esteem with cosmetic dental services. Lumineers can enhance your natural beauty so you can feel and look your best. Let’s take a look at some questions we frequently hear from our patients regarding Lumineers.

1. What Are Lumineers?

Lumineers are thin pieces of resin that fit over your existing teeth. The resin’s color is expertly blended to match the shade of your teeth (or the shade you hope to achieve). During the procedure, we will bond the Lumineers to your teeth to ensure an accurate, comfortable fit. The result is white, evenly-spaced teeth.

Lumineers are similar to porcelain veneers in that they cover up minor imperfections on the teeth that show when you smile or talk. However, the great part about Lumineers is that our dentist doesn’t have to remove any of your tooth enamel to make space for

2. Am I a Candidate for Lumineers?

Lumineers are perfect for fixing small cosmetic dental issues, especially concerning your front teeth. However, for more serious oral issues, we recommend seeking restorative treatments from our Naples dentist.

3. How Much Do Lumineers Cost?

Lumineers can cost between $800 and $2,000 per bonded tooth. The price range is due to the fact that each patient’s case is different.

For example, large teeth require more resin and may take more time to bond properly to your existing teeth. The position of the tooth within your mouth can also determine the cost of your Lumineers procedure.

The cost of Lumineers can also vary based on your region and how many teeth need dental veneers. After examining your mouth, we can give you an estimate for how much the procedure will cost. We do our best to provide affordable dental care for our patients.

4. What Do I Have to Do?

When you visit our office, we sit down with you to discuss your dental options for improving the appearance of your smile. Dr. Vanessa Rashid will also show you pictures of teeth before and after Lumineers treatment. Once we’ve reached an understanding with you regarding your desired results, we can start treatment right away.

During your first visit, our cosmetic dentist will take dental impressions of your upper and lower teeth. We will then send these impressions to a lab where your custom Lumineers will be made.

When you return for your second visit, we will be ready to bond the Lumineers to your teeth. The procedure is relatively painless, and the vast majority of our patients are able to resume their everyday activities after their Lumineers have been placed.

5. How Long Do Lumineers Last?

You will eventually have to replace your Lumineers, usually every 10 to 15 years. When this happens, you will have to have your Lumineers removed before beginning the process to refresh your smile.

Like with your original Lumineers, we will create a cast to match your bite before sending it to the lab to have your custom Lumineers made. For your next appointment, we will bond the specially crafted resin to your teeth.
